LA homeless crisis hits home with one local family

The LA homeless crisis is hitting families hard and we are getting a rare inside glimpse of what life is like for one family in the San Fernando Valley.

The morning routine for the Neill family is similar to most families with school aged kids.

Except the seven children and their parents live in an donated RV on a street in Canoga Park.

They've been homeless since 2011 after the recession hit them hard. They lost the family business and their five bedroom home due to foreclosure.

The kids were even separated from their parents and put into foster homes, an experience the eldest daughter described as "traumatizing."

Yet, despite the difficulties, the family is back together and volunteering to help other homeless in need.
