Katy Perry's dad offers to help teenage mudslide victim
MONTECITO, CA (FOX 11) - Pop Star Katy Perry's father lives in Montecito. He survived the Thomas Fire and then, the mudslides. Now, Keith Hudson wants to help a young Montecito victim who was found covered in mud.
Hudson says the image of 14-year-old Lauren Cantin being rescued by firefighters captured his heart and he wants to reach out to the girl in hopes of bringing a smile to her face.
He says, "It just really touched me and I wanted to make sure that she goes to one of my daughter's concerts if possible. Just to help her out, you know?"
Hudson says, in a time of need, people should to help each other, even if it's in a small way, like offering free concert tickets and a chance to meet Katy Perry.
