'Justin Bieber lookalike' reported missing in West Hollywood

A man who has had plastic surgery to make him look like Justin Bieber has disappeared, prompting worried friends to call police. But LAPD officers said Sunday they do not consider the matter to be a "critical missing'' case. Tobias Strebel, 35, had undergone cosmetic surgery so he can bear a striking resemblance to the 21-year-old Canadian pop star. He bills himself as a Bieber lookalike and reality TV star. Strebel was last seen on Tuesday in the 1700 block of Orange Grove Avenue, near West Hollywood, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department. He was last seen driving a gray 2009 Toyota Camry, according to media outlets. "This is very unusual for him to be missing. He hasn't done any, not shown up for no reasn, no note or anything,'' Mel Espinoza told a news station. Strebel had appeared on the TV show "Botched,'' on the E! television network. Despite Strebel's disappearance, he is not considered a critical missing person because he is not a child or suffers from a medical condition, Lopez said. However, the officer says anyone with information about Strebel's whereabouts should call the LAPD Hollywood Station at (213) 972-2976.
