Investigation underway after woman found dead in Redlands apartment

REDLANDS, Calif. (FOX 11) - An investigation is underway after a woman's body was found Tuesday night in a Redlands apartment and a man was taken away by ambulance, authorities said.

Police responded at about 9:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting at the Parkview Terrace Apartments in the 1600 block of Barton Road. Witnesses described hearing several gunshots coming from inside the complex, authorities said.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A male was also injured and taken to Loma Linda Hospital in an unknown condition.

Police said a preliminary investigation led police to believe the suspect may be an ex-boyfriend of the female victim.

The suspect fled in a black Chevy Silverado and was considered armed and dangerous, officials added.
