Investigation underway after deadly shooting in Lomita
LOMITA, Calif. (FOX 11) - Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were working to gather the details of a shooting after a man was found fatally wounded in a Lomita home early Wednesday morning.
The 911 call came in around 2:30 a.m. about a person who had been shot and needed assistance at a home on the 24000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, located near the intersection of Lomita and Crenshaw boulveards.
Arriving deputies discovered a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man at the home also had a gunshot wound to the lower torso. He was transported to a local hospital and was in fair condition, according to Sheriff's officials.
The relationship between the two victims is currently unknown.
A gun was found at the scene and woman was detained for questioning.
The identity of the victims was not immediately released.
