(FOX 11) - With the recent real estate boom Los Angeles has become a very expensive city to live in.
A new survey by SmartAsset says you will need to make at least $109,543 to pay for the average two-bedroom apartment in L.A.
That figure takes into account that you should not spend more than 30 percent of your salary on rent.
The average rent in LA now is about $2,566 per month for a two-bedroom.
According to their findings, there are 15 cities in the U.S. where you need to earn at least $100,000 in order to comfortably afford the average two-bedroom apartment.
Ten of these cities are in California, with the San Francisco Bay Area leading the way where you'll need to make almost $180,000 dollars per year.
Out of the 15 major cities surveyed Los Angeles came in fourth place.
