Human skulls found in Palmdale home

An investigation was underway Wednesday into the discovery of three human skulls in Palmdale. The remains were found about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 2500 block of East Avenue Q-4, Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Sheriff's  Information Bureau said.

Homicide and forensic investigators say the human remains found do appear to be part of the homeowner’s religious practice, but as of right now they are still investigating to see if that is the case. It appears the remains have been there for the past couple of weeks, but they could have been at the residence for years.

The Coroner's Office will examine the skulls to determine if there was foul play, said Deputy Trina Schrader.
