Homeowner pistol-whipped in home invasion robbery, teen suspects sought

Police searched Tuesday for two males and a female who pistol-whipped a man in a home invasion robbery in Leimert Park.

The robbery was reported at 9:50 p.m. Monday in the 4200 block of Norton Avenue.

The victim told responding officers that he was accosted by two males and a female in their late teens when he arrived home, said Lt. Chuck Springer of the Los Angeles Police Department's Southwest Station.

The man said he was forced into the home, pistol-whipped and had his hands zip-tied before the robbers took off in a white four-door vehicle with his belongings, Springer said.

What they took was not immediately disclosed.

The victim suffered a contusion to the head, Springer said.
