Hiker rescued from cliff at Griffith Park

A distressed hiker was rescued by Los Angeles firefighters Friday afternoon after being found on the side of a cliff at Griffith Park.

Firefighters and urban search and rescue personnel used a rope system to safely lower to safety that uninjured 20-year-old woman who became stranded while hiking on a steep hillside in the area of 3200 North Canyon
Drive in the Griffith Park area, says Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
