Hawthorne man charged with animal cruelty during domestic dispute

A Hawthorne man has been charged with animal cruelty accused of stomping and killing a 9-pound Maltese during a domestic dispute.

22-year old Seth Estrada was arrested after the couple who owned the dog called the police.

They had asked Estrada to move out of their home where he was living with their granddaughter.

The owners say Estrada had injured several of their other pets and they were in the process of getting a restraining order against him.

After his arrest... Estrada reportedly told police that he had killed three other animals, but that they were all accidents.
