With El Niño Storms expected to begin later this year and well into spring, now might be a good time to store up on a little H20.
Keep Los Angeles Beautiful (an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful housed within the Board of Public Works) has secured 1,000, 55-gallon syrup barrels and rain barrel conversion kits from Coca-Cola to re-purpose and distribute for the residential use of rain harvesting for landscape irrigation. As a result of this partnership, residents wishing to support additional water conservation efforts can attend one of the distribution events to receive a FREE Rain Barrel.
The barrels are limited to City of Los Angeles Residents only. You’ll need to register online.
