Four-alarm fire burns through a building in Newport Beach

At least one person was injured Friday in a four-alarm commercial fire in Newport Beach, according to broadcast reports.

The Newport Beach Fire Department said the fire started at 2:33 a.m. in an outdoor storage facility in the 800 block of Production Place.

The condition of the injured person was not immediately reported.

Another person was treated for smoke inhalation and several vehicles were destroyed, according to reports from the scene.

The fire was knocked down before 5:30 a.m. and the cause was under investigation.
