Firefighters knockdown flames at Sun Valley business in about 40 minutes

Firefighters extinguished a blaze Tuesday morning in a Sun Valley business in about 40 minutes.

Crews were dispatched about 3:25 a.m. to the business at 8558 San Fernando Road, where a large fire burned outside the structure, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A total of 54 firefighters kept the flames from spreading to the structure, she said.

News outlets described the business as an auto parts and repair yard.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
