Fire damages auto sales business in Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY (CNS) - A fire damaged a Sun Valley business Friday morning, but no injuries were reported.

The blaze at Statewide Auto Sales, located at 12039 Branford St., was reported at 3:05 a.m. and knocked down in 37 minutes by 87 firefighters, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Crews took a defensive position and extinguished the flames from the exterior of the building, Humphrey said.

No other structures were threatened.

The cause of the fire was under investigation and crews remained on scene early Friday for overhaul operations.
