Family of Syed Farook in disbelief over his involvement in terror attack

Two American flags are on display in front of the Riverside, California home Saira Khan, the sister of terror suspect Syed Farook.

Still in mourning, Khan and her husband Farhan Khan were visibly shaken by news that their sister-in-law Tashfeen Malik reportedly pledged her allegiance to ISIS shortly before the attack.

U.S. officials say she made the post on her 'Alias' Facebook page and deleted it before she and Syed opened fire during his company's Christmas party, killing 14 people and wounding 21.

"None of the family members had any idea that this was going to take place. They were totally shocked," family attorney David Chesley said during a press conference.

"Rahim, Saira and Eba, the brother and sisters of the alleged shooter, had no idea to the point when they got word that there was an incident that had taken place," Chesley said. "They were worried about the health and safety of Sayed and Tashfeem because there never has been any evidence that either of them were aggressive and had extremist views."

After being cleared through the family's attorney, Saira spoke to CBS Friday morning.

"So many things I asked myself. I ask myself if I had called him that morning or the night before, asked him how he was doing, what he was up to. If I had any inclination, maybe I could have stopped it," Saira said during an interview with CBS.

Saira and other family members have expressed their condolences to all the families of the 14 people who lost their lives. They also say their struggling to mourn he loss of someone they thought they knew.
