LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - A large tree fell overnight in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles, destroying a parked car and blocking the roadway.
Officers responded to the report of a fallen tree just after midnight Tuesday near the intersection of Glendon Avenue and Francis Place. Area residents said the massive crash sounded like lightning.
A white Hyundai vehicle parked on the street was damaged, however no injuries were reported.
The Department of Transportation officers were called to the scene to control traffic.
It was unclear when the tree would be full removed.
