LONG BEACH, Calif. (FOX 11) - Authorities are investigating the body of a man found early Thursday afternoon at the mouth of the San Gabriel River in Long Beach.
At about 12:15 p.m., police officers responded to a report of an unconscious person in the water in the 100 block of Marina Drive, according to authorities.
Investigators say a Seal Beach lifeguard was able to reach the man and confirmed he was dead.
Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death and whether or not foul play was involved.
The identity of the man has not been released. No further details were immediately known.
