California traffic safety officials concerned about effects of Prop 64

The latest polls show a large majority of Californians plan to vote for prop 64, the measure that would legalize marijuana for recreational use.

Traffic safety officials are not as enthusiastic.
They are worried about a lack of rules and regulations for drivers.

Officials point to a report out of Colorado that shows pot-related traffic death went up 32 percent after that state legalized marijuana.

For example, in California there is no benchmark for driving under the influence of pot.
Prop 64 would allow adults 21 and older to have and use up to an ounce of marijuana.
