BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (FOX 11)
Former President Bill Clinton arrived around 4:45 Tuesday afternoon to the Beverly Hills home of producer and actor Seth MacFarlane for a cocktail party fundraiser.
Clinton stood in for Hillary Clinton, who was diagnosed with pneumonia on Sunday, and canceled her California fundraising appearances.
About 150 guests attended the party at McFarlane’s home where tickets started at $5,000 per person with a maximum contribution of about $33,000 per person.
Singer Lionel Richie was scheduled to provide the entertainment.
A second fundraiser is planned for Tuesday evening at the home of media mogul Barry Diller and his fashion designer wife, Diane von Furstenberg.
Tickets for that fundraiser cost a whopping $100,000 per couple.
Security is tight for the former president, with the LA Police Department assisting the secret service and private security that’s been hired.
