Big rig overturns on 10 Freeway near Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11 / CNS) - A big rig overturned Thursday on the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles, blocking most of the lanes into the morning commute while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash occurred about 2 a.m. near Santa Fe Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Only one eastbound lane was open to traffic as of 8:30 a.m., the CHP reported. No injuries were reported.

The truck reportedly was carrying a 15-ton load.
