Small plane crashes near Brian Ranch Airport; minor injuries reported

An airplane with four persons aboard crashed northwest of Wrightwood on Sunday, but early reports indicated that there were minor injuries.

The plane had four people reportedly on board, and they were treated for minor injuries, an L.A. County sheriff's lieutenant said.

"The plane got about 30 feet up then crashed on the tarmac,'' said Lt. Reich.

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor told CNS the plane hit a tree, crashed and burned.

"It does not appear that any of the four people on board were seriously injured,'' Gregor said.

Earlier, the California Highway Patrol said its officers had received reports of a downed plane near the Brian Ranch Airport, 34810 Largo Vista Road in Llano.
