Police continue search for gunman in East Hollywood shooting

Police on Saturday continued their search for a gunman who opened fire on four men standing outside a home in East Hollywood, killing two and wounding two.

The two survivors of the gang-related shooting were listed in stable condition at an area hospital, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Mike Lopez.

At about 7:50 p.m. Friday, a man in his 20s walked up and opened fire on a group of people who were congregating at 555 N. Heliotrope Drive, near the Hollywood (101) Freeway, according to Lopez.

The suspect is described as about 5-feet-9 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing all black clothing, he said.

LAPD Rampart station detectives asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at (213) 484-3400.
