Driver killed in Culver City crash

CULVER CITY, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A driver was killed Friday in a single-vehicle crash in Culver City, in which the car ended up wrapped around a tree, police said.

The crash occurred about 4:35 a.m. at Washington Boulevard and Sherbourne Drive, police said.

The man, in his 30s, died at the scene, the coroner's office reported. Authorities withheld his name, pending notification of his relatives. No one else was in the car, police said.

Traffic was routed away from the area until about 11:45 a.m.
