Armed robbery suspects lead police on early morning pursuit, search

- Police finished searching in a Sun Valley neighborhood Thursday morning for four armed robbery suspects who led officers on a car chase from the Canoga Park area to Sun Valley, authorities said.

The robbery took place before 5 a.m. in the 22000 block of Sherman Way, said Officer Drake Madison of Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section.

There were four suspects in the car when police chased the alleged getaway vehicle through the San Fernando Valley until the driver stopped near the Golden State (5) Freeway where it meets the Hollywood (170 ) Freeway,
Madison said.

Two suspects ran from the car and through a pedestrian tunnel under the Golden State Freeway and a perimeter was set up to find them, Madison said.

As of 9:00 a.m., all four suspects had been taken into custody said LAPD Officer Jenny Hauser, also of Media Relations.
