HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A construction crew will begin repairing a damaged sidewalk today outside the Hollywood Hills home of retired "The Price Is Right'' host Bob Barker, who tripped on the sidewalk in October and suffered cuts to his head.
Barker, 92, took a spill on the sidewalk around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 20. A pair of Los Angeles Police Department officers happened to be in the area and saw Barker fall. They called for an ambulance, and Barker was taken to a hospital suffering from lacerations on his head but not seriously injured.
According to Barker's publicist, the city has issued a permit for the sidewalk repair work.
Precision Concrete Cutting is doing the work free of charge.
