- Police in Ontario are searching for a male suspect after police say he grabbed a 14-year-old girl and attempted to kidnap and assault her on the Chaffey High School grounds on Saturday.

The girl was departing on foot through the campus after an evening school event when the man approached her and suddenly grabbed her, pulled her into a dark area and attempted to remove her clothing.

The girl managed to break free of the suspect's grasp and ran away while the man briefly chased her. Employees from the school noticed the girl running and came to assist. The man suddenly turned and ran towards 5th Street  - away from the school grounds.
