Woman killed in Westminster double hit-and-run crash

- It was shortly before 11 o'clock Thursday night when a 41-year-old woman was crossing Magnolia Avenue in Westminster.

And that's when, police say, a car traveling at a high rate of speed, ran her over.

The poor woman didn't stand a chance and died right there.

But the story doesn't end there because after the suspect hit her, police say that same driver clipped another car traveling next to it, sending that person spinning out-of-control into oncoming traffic.

That car then crashed into another car. Amazingly no one was seriously injured.

Meanwhile, the suspect never stopped.

They didn't stop to help the woman they had run over and they didn't stop to help the victims of the accident they caused.

Police would later find the car they believe was involved in the hit and run abandoned  about a mile away from the scene. It's windshield shattered, police say it's clear the driver had to know they hit someone.

The car is registered out of Anaheim and according to police had not been reported stolen

As for the identity of the woman who died, that will be released by the coroner once her family is notified.
