34th annual Kingdom Day Parade kicks off Monday in Leimert Park

The 34th annual Kingdom Day Parade will kick off Monday morning in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., followed by a festival at Leimert Park.

With Dodger manager Dave Roberts as grand marshal, the theme of this year's parade is "Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds, Healthy Democracy."

The parade will step off at 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Western Avenue, continue along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, proceed south on Crenshaw Boulevard, and march west along Vernon Avenue.
