Lancaster man arrested in death of mother killed during repair job

- 36-year-old Lyndi Fisher was found dead just after 11 p.m. Friday night inside the Lancaster home. Her alleged killer, 30-year-old William Hughes who resides at the home. He was arrested and booked in connection with her murder.

"How would you describe this guy... Weird... He'd come out at night... Kind of suspicious." said neighbor Ben Ramirez.

Neighbors say Hughes had lived at the home for only a few months but that they would see Fisher's vehicle outside almost every night.

"Seems kind of weird why would you come so late to work on somebody's house? Ramirez said.

Fisher, worked as a repair technician for Arrow Appliance. The company said she was on her last call of the night when she was killed. They set up a go fund me page to help pay for funeral expenses for the mother of three.

While the motive for the murder remains unclear investigators say Hughes told them fisher was injured while repairing an appliance. He said he left the home for a time and when he came back and he found her unresponsive in the garage.

Neighbor Ben Ramirez tells says Hughes might have been angry over money after his cousin reportedly helped translate a note allegedly written by Hughes in Spanish that was found inside the house.

"And it said something about 500-dollars that he thought that she took it and he was gonna come after her and her family for that." said Ramirez.

Hughes has been booked on suspicion of murder and is being held at the Lancaster jail on two million dollars bail.
