ANAHEIM, Calif. (FOX 11) - If you go to Disneyland, you know you’re going to be waiting in line to get on the rides. It's a given.
But most people don’t seem to mind. It is after all, the happiest place on earth. However, if you just hate to wait in line, there are certain times that are better.
The LA Times did a study analyzing all the wait times at the amusement park. What they found is that on average, the wait time to ride the most popular rides during the first six months of the year is about 24.4 minutes.
The ride with the longest average wait time is Space Mountain at 65 minutes. The shortest wait times are typically on Thursdays.
As expected, you’ll wait longer on Saturdays. September and January are the best months to avoid long lines at Disneyland.
The Times calculated the average wait times by analyzing more than 4 million snapshots of the Disneyland App on Wait Time signs throughout the park.
The resort has been trying to ease overcrowding by upgrading the fast pass to include 16 rides and raising ticket prices on super busy days.
Currently, a one day ticket will cost you $124. An annual pass with no blackout dates runs just over a $1,000.
