LOS ANGELES (FOX 11 / CNS) - Model Blac Chyna was awarded a temporary restraining order Monday against Rob Kardashian, who went on a social-media rampage against his former girlfriend and fiancee last week, posting explicit photos and messages about her online.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner James Blancarte issued the order against Kardashian, pending a further hearing on Aug. 8.
After the hearing, attorney Robert Shapiro, who represents Kardashian, apologized on behalf of his client and said Kardashian's primary interest is the well-being of the former couple's daughter, Dream, who turned 8 months old Monday.
Kardashian, 30, was briefly engaged to Chyna, 29.
Chyna argued in court papers that Kardashian posted confidential personal information about her online and physically assaulted her in front of her son in April.
On Wednesday, Kardashian posted a series of explicit photos on Instagram and accused Chyna of infidelity and drug abuse. Some observers have suggested that the posts, which have since been taken down, could open up to criminal action under California's "revenge porn'' law.
Kardashian -- younger sibling of reality television stars Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian -- and Chyna had a yearlong relationship in 2016. They began dating in January, had a daughter in November and broke up in December.
After his Instagram posts were taken down Wednesday, Kardashian took to Twitter to lash out.
"Loved Chyna as my wife and accepted all the wrong she did and continued to ride for her and remain loyal to her. Never did I cheat,'' he wrote. "But she couldn't remain loyal and cheated and (expletive) way too many people and she got caught and now this is all happening and its sad.
"We had a beautiful baby girl that was the best thing that's happened to me and soon as that baby was born Chyna was out,'' he wrote. "... I truly thought Chyna wanted to be a family and that's why I was so loyal to her but I learned my lesson and everyone else was right.''
Chyna appeared on "Good Morning America'' Monday, saying she was "devastated'' by Kardashian's online comments.
"This is a person that I trusted,'' she said. "... I felt comfortable, you know, with even sending these pictures and even talking to him about certain things.
"... I've talked to Rob about everything. The moral of the story is, he doesn't respect me, so if you can't respect me, you have to respect the law.''
She said she and Kardashian broke up in December, but he kept bothering her, so she sent him a video of her with another man, thinking "he'll just leave me alone.''
But he posted the video online and accused her of dating him and having a daughter with him primarily to get famous and to get revenge against her ex-boyfriend, rapper Tyga.
"I was already Blac Chyna before the Kardashians,'' she said. "Nobody was out to make a baby out of spite.''
Kardashian has appeared on the television show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians'' and was a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars.''
