LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX 11)
A report of a shooting in the South Los Angeles area today left a nearby high school on lockdown for a time, but police found no evidence that anyone had been wounded.
Officers were sent to the area of 52nd Street and Towne Avenue about 8:25 a.m. on a report, which turned out to be unfounded, that a person had been shot, said LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera.
During the investigation, officials ordered the lockdown of nearby Dr. Maya Angelou Community High School for about an hour.
