- With Halloween right around the corner the personal-finance website WalletHub released its 2016’s Best Cities for Halloween report along with fun and interesting facts about the holiday and Santa Ana, CA came in number one!

According to Wallethub's analyst, Jill Gonzalez,

'Santa Ana has the best Trick-or-Treat Friendliness in the country, with about a quarter of its population aged 14 or younger - plenty of kids to go out with! It also has the highest percentage of occupied housing units at just above 97 percent, which was used as a proxy that equates for fuller candy baskets. It ranked 18th for the Walk Score metric, which means that it's quite accessible for trick-or-treaters and also has safe neighborhoods, ranking 19th best for the crime rate metric.

When it comes Halloween Parties and Activities, Santa Ana ranked above average, 24th, having the third lowest average Halloween Party ticket price at just $10, and the highest number of Halloween supplies stores at 16 per capita.'

To help Americans prepare for the spookiest time of the year, they crunched the numbers to find the best and cheapest cities to celebrate the holiday.  Comparing the 100 largest U.S. cities across 18 key metrics, ranging from “number of candy and chocolate stores per capita” to “average cost of a Halloween party ticket” to “Halloween weather forecast.”
