LAKE VIEW TERRACE, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Firefighters early on Tuesday fought a brush fire in the northeastern San Fernando Valley.
The fire was reported around midnight in the 10500 block of Woldrich Street near the Foothill (210) Freeway and was threatening the Hansen Dam Park area, authorities said.
The blaze scorched more than 20 acres, news media outlets reported. Helicopters made water drops overnight to keep the fire from spreading.
No injuries were reported.
The California Highway Patrol closed the Wheatland Avenue onramps to the Foothill Freeway and were expected to reopen them at 8 a.m.
The Los Angeles Police Department also was called to the scene to direct traffic, according to an officer from the Foothill Division.
