158 need medical help with hot temps at Rams game

- It was so hot that dozens of football fans needed medical care from heat related problems on Sunday at the Los Angeles Rams game against the Seattle Seahawks.

LA Fire Department Paramedics responded to 48 calls and transported 11 people to the hospital. Another ambulance company, AMR, got 110 calls for help and transported 3 fans.

A source at LAFD told us that a "good number of those" were due to heat-related problems.

The sun was merciless for many inside the Coliseum. Lots of fans left at half-time.

"It’s just too hot I can’t handle it," one fan said. Another, "It's just HOT." A third, "It’s hot as hell and there’s no cover and they ran out of water."

Three Rams fans told us, "We were squished in there. We were like elbow to elbow."

There was the other little issue of leaving the game with 90,000 of your new best friends.

Teresa Otañez said she was worried about the "congestion and just the time its going to take to get out."

Chuck Gallegos anticipated post-game traffic being like a "madhouse."

Some, opting to leave the driving to someone else, used Uber, Lyft, taxis, limos and cars of friends and family picking them up.

That's what Teresa Otañez did. She said it kept away the "headache and stress" of being behind the wheel.
