2 people stabbed near Disneyland

- Two people were critically injured in stabbings Thursday night in Anaheim near Disneyland and due to the proximity of the crimes, investigators are trying to determine if the stabbings were one incident.

Anaheim police were asked to respond to a man with a gunshot wound at 7:59 p.m. in the 1100 block West Ball Road, according to Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

Responding officers discovered the man actually was suffering from a stab wound.

At 8:01 p.m., officers were asked to respond to a female stabbing victim in the 1200 block of South Walnut Street.

Both victims were taken to hospitals where they are in critical condition, Wyatt said.

A preliminary description for a suspect was given to police of a man, about 25 to 30 years old, weighing 220 to 230 pounds, and wearing dark jeans and a hoodie.

Police say Disneyland is safe and is unrelated to the stabbings.
