CARSON, Calif. (FOX 11) - A homicide investigation led to a property in Carson, which was being searched Thursday to determine if a body was buried at the location.
Coroner's investigators assisted sheriff's homicide detectives in the search, which was being conducted in the 2100 block of Prospect Avenue, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Sheriff's Lt. Joe Mendoza told FOX 11's Gigi Graciette that detectives went to the location after receiving "credible'' information during the course of a homicide investigation.
"We have information that there's a body buried at the residence,'' Mendoza said. "And what we're doing now, is we're armed with a search warrant... and we're here with (the) crime lab and the coroner's office, and just trying to seek any evidence of a dead body.''
