ROSAMOND, Calif. (FOX 11) - A 9-year-old boy named Sean saved his own money and used it to bring lunch to deputies in Rosamond.
He wrote a note that said, "Thank you for keeping our town safe during these troubled times. Enjoy your pizza. I just want you to smile for all your hard work."
The Kern County Sheriff's Office shared photos on Facebook saying the deputies were so grateful they decided to pay him a return visit with some law enforcement souvenirs.
They wrote in the post, "Thank you Sean - you have helped remind our hardworking deputies why they love doing this job so much every single day."
