Seven injured in fiery collision between car and MTA bus

- At least seven people were injured in a fiery crash between an MTA bus and several vehicles in South Los Angeles Monday night--two of them were in critical condition.

Los Angeles firefighters were called to 1674 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at 6:52 p.m., said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Erik Scott.

Scott said that the bus and a car were damaged by the fire--one report had it that the sedan was destroyed in the blaze.

There were four vehicles damaged. The one vehicle was so well involved in flames it had spread to a portion of the bus.

Six patients were taken to hospitals and one person refused transportation.

Two police officers and a Good Samaritan removed patients from a burning vehicle before the fire department arrived.

Flames were quickly knocked down. The driver was the only person on the bus.
