1 killed, 2 wounded in South Los Angeles shooting

- A gunman in South Los Angeles walked up to some people Wednesday morning and opened fire, killing a woman and injuring two others, police said.

The attack was reported at about 1:30 a.m. in the 9100 block of South Western Avenue, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

The gunman fled the scene in a vehicle, Eisenman said.
