LASD Deputies Find Missing Girl in Sex Offender's Santa Clarita Garage

A young teenaged girl, reported missing last night by her parents, has been found in the garage of a registered sex offender.

L A County Sheriff's investigators from the Santa Clarita station considered her a "Critical Missing Person" because of her age and immediately began by checking her cellphone records.

According to a statement released by the department, they called a number from the records and a man answered, saying he did not know the girl. Deputies traced the man's phone to an address where they were allowed inside by the parents of the person who had answered the phone. In little time, they found the girl inside the garage.

She told deputies she became friends with the 26 year old man at a Santa Clarita grocery store earlier this week. She also told them he had sexually assaulted her. Deputies arrested Kaene Dean who has a conviction for indecent exposure in the city of Glendale and is currently on parole for burglary. Sheriff's deputies have not released the girl's condition.
