Born with a deadly genetic condition called VACERL, the spunky boy from Vermont has made it through truly difficult times.
So when he asked the Make a Wish Foundation if he could be a police officer, they figured why not?
First they had to fly him to Los Angeles because his favorite agency happens to be Los Angeles Police Department, which he has seen on TV shows and movies.
The LAPD got really into it, putting the tiny boy in a police car, experiencing pit maneuvers -- and even a pursuit.
You'd think he'd be tired, but no. He had everyone running around, as he also got into the SWAT vehicles, did a couple of rounds in the simulator and went for a spin in the helicopter.
To say he was enthusiastic would be an understatement. The joy so palpable, there were a few tears among the adults around him.
"I know the officers are enjoying this," said Captain Vic Davalos. "But it's the officers who are learning from this child's courage. He is amazing."
The Make a Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.
