Fullerton 'Bandit' Linked To Six Bank Robberies In Orange County

FULLERTON (CNS/FOX 11) - A armed man who robbed a bank Thursday in Fullerton is also suspected in five other Orange County bank robberies, according to the FBI.

The latest robbery was reported at a Bank of the West branch around 4 p.m., Laura Eimiller of the FBI said. The suspect displayed a handgun and swore at the teller during the robbery, Eimiller said. A large white envelope was used to carry the cash.

The suspect has also been linked to four other armed robberies at Bank of the West branches (three in Fullerton and one in La Habra), and one at a Comerica Bank branch in Anaheim, Eimiller said.

Three of the previous holdups came in 2013, and other two in June, Eimiller said.

The suspect is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs about 190-200 pounds with a stocky build, Eimiller said. He has worn a baseball cap with a large A on the front, and has been dubbed as the "Big A Bandit.''

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity can call the FBI in Los Angeles at (310) 477-6565.
