The 58-year-old Guerrero was taken to a hospital in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic by his wife Roxana Guerrero de Jimenez around noon Sunday after initially losing mobility in his left arm. He was placed in the intensive care unit as a precautionary measure.
Guerrero has recovered mobility in his arm, according to the Dodgers.
Guerrero shared MVP honors with teammates Ron Cey and Steve Yeager as the Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in the 1981 World Series.
Guerrero finished third in the National League MVP voting twice and fourth once and chosen for the All-Star Game four times when he played for the Dodgers from 1978-88.
Guerrero was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1988, who he played with for the remainder of his major league career, which ended in 1992.
