'Crazy bird lady' wears a special dress to feed hummingbirds

Cary Campbell is an artist and costume designer based in Whistler, Canada, who has gotten attention over the last few days for an elaborate dress she designed and wears to feed a charm of hummingbirds that have taken to visiting her deck.

Video shared on her Facebook page shows Campbell dressed in an ornate, puffed-out red dress, with dozens of flowers on it containing a sugary liquid that the hyperactive birds flit between, sipping from. She also holds a flower in each hand and remains still throughout the feeding.

In an interview with Global BC, Campbell says that her children think she's "a crazy bird lady." Campbell started feeding the birds last year, beginning with only two. But by the time the birds left in August, there were over 300 of them feeding from Campbell.
