Coach's Secret Lies: Basketball Coach Under Investigation

Tony Wong is a highly respected basketball coach, who by all accounts loved rescuing troubled kids, taking them under his wing and turning those young boys into great athletes. But now that beloved coach is under investigation by the LAPD for allegedly molesting some of his former players at the Alpine Park Recreation Center in Chinatown.

We spoke with Craig Lui, the attorney representing the former players making the allegations. He says, "It's going to be shocking to the community to know he's a serial molester."

Fox 11 News obtained an LAPD search warrant that details the twisted relationship between a coach and his former players. It states the coach would take still photos of the boys while they were nude and videotape them masterbating at his direction.

Why would any player go along wtih that? Lui says,"The players looked at Tony as the father figure because they came from broken families. He really took them under his wing and everyone in the community knew this."

We tried to get a response from Wong but were unable to reach him.

A spokesperson for Alpine park issued the following statement, "Tony Wong is on leave without pay. This situation is in the hands of the LAPD."

Detectives with the LAPD wouldn't go on camera to discuss this case. But they told us Wong is under investigation for sexual battery and anyone with information should call detectives at 213-833-3750.
