Motorcycle Vs. Fire Truck Caught On GoPro Video

As of 6:15 pm Wednesday night the video of Jesse Lopez crashing into a Los Angeles County Fire Truck had scored 137,573 views. But, while others were watching his head-on motorcycle wreck in the Angeles National Forest he was watching it on his laptop. The collision happened back in April. Lopez and a friend were on his first mountain ride since he started riding a motorcycle seven months earlier.

As he ventured up Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Range Road he hit a sharp turn and careened head-on into a County Fire Truck after fixating on it. He says he knows he could've died adding "I've thought about that many times. I'm lucky it wasn't worse. I'm lucky I ran into a fire truck that was able to radio for help."

When you talk with him he remembers the trip up the hill, but after the accident it's all a blank. He says when he first started watching the video he couldn't remember a thing. "I remember something a firefighter said," he recalls, "but, I don't know what those things were. I just forgot all about it.

He says he hopes lots of people will see his video and learn not to make the mistakes he made.
