Ben & Jerry's Showing the Lactose Intolerant Love With New Non Dairy Flavors

27,000 people signed a petition and now it's happening! Ben & Jerry's is bringing non dairy ice cream to a freezer near you in 2016.

They're known for their creative flavors and unconventional naming conventions with products like: A Swirled of Difference, Cherry Garcia (a customer fav), Scotchy Scotch Scotch and Americone Dream. The latter two being brand partnerships with the Anchorman films and Stephen Colbert respectively.

Rumor is the new flavors will appear sometime in April of next year. According to the website, "Some might ask, "why not now?" (Yes, we've seen your tweets!) The answer is, we've been working on this for quite a while, and want to make sure these flavors live up to what Ben & Jerry's is known for: enormous chunks, delicious swirls and a commitment to values-led ingredient sourcing. Our Flavor Gurus have been hard at work to ensure they do, which includes lots of taste testing!"

Those are all the details for now as Ben and Jerry are keeping exactly which flavors they'll be unveiling, pretty secretive. At this point, the only thing we know about the new ice cream is that they may be based on almond or coconut milk according to an interview that company co-founder Jerry Greenfield gave to U.K. newspaper The Metro.

Which flavors are you hoping they'll make non-dairy versions of? We're hoping for Cinnamon Buns!
