Man Sought For Flashing Three Teenage Girls, Woman In Carson

CARSON (CNS/FOX 11) - Authorities hope a suspect sketch circulated Thursday will lead to the man who exposed himself to three 14-year-old girls in Carson and later to a woman he followed home.

The man came up behind the girls near Fries Avenue and Lomita Boulevard about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday and started talking to them, Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau said.

When the girls turned around, the man exposed himself and began to masturbate, prompting the girls to run to a nearby home and report the crime, Schrader said.

About an hour later, the man followed an 18-year-old woman to her home near 213th and Dolores streets, the deputy said.

When she reached the front door, the suspect exposed himself and began to masturbate, Schrader said.

"She then opened the door, went inside and when she tried to close the door behind her the suspect put his foot in the doorway to prevent her from closing it,'' Schrader said.

The man ran away when the woman screamed, Schrader said.

"Detectives believe the same suspect is responsible for both incidents,'' she said.

The man is described as black, 20-35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing 150-160 pounds. He has a muscular build and sported a large, thick, possibly fake black moustache.

Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to contact detectives at the sheriff's Carson Station at (310) 830-1123. Anonymous tips may be provided by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
