Driver Of Wrong-Way Vehicle In Critical Condition After Malibu Head-On Crash

MALIBU (CNS/FOX 11) - The driver of a wrong-way vehicle remained in critical condition Thursday after a head-on collision on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Latigo Canyon Road around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. John Lecrivain.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, who was freed from the vehicle after being trapped for about 50 minutes, was undergoing surgery early Thursday.

The driver of the other vehicle was released from the hospital early Thursday morning, said sheriff's Sgt. Edward Sheridan.
